Welcome to Bread Beckers Co-Op. By creating an account and using our platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Bread Beckers Co-Op platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Each person may maintain only one account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Co-Op Membership

Bread Beckers Co-Op is a community ordering platform. When you join a co-op, you agree to abide by the rules and guidelines established by your local co-op coordinator, including order deadlines, pickup/delivery arrangements, and communication expectations.

4. Ordering and Payment

  • Orders are placed through the platform during designated ordering periods set by your co-op.
  • Prices are determined by Bread Beckers' current pricing schedule and may change between ordering cycles.
  • Payment is required for all orders. Payment is processed securely through Square.
  • For co-ops with variable shipping, final order totals (including shipping costs) are confirmed after the customer ordering period closes. You will be notified of your final total before payment is due.
  • Applicable taxes are calculated based on your co-op's location.
  • Shipping costs are allocated according to your co-op's shipping arrangement (per-pound rate, flat rate, or actual cost allocation).

5. Order Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your order before the customer cutoff date for your co-op's ordering cycle.
  • Cancellations after the cutoff date may not be possible, as orders may have already been submitted to suppliers.
  • If you cancel an order for which payment has been made, refunds will be processed through your co-op coordinator.
  • Product availability is subject to change. If an item is unavailable, your order will be adjusted and any overpayment refunded.

6. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from Bread Beckers Co-Op related to your orders and account. These messages may include order confirmations, payment reminders, shipping updates, and account notifications.

  • Consent: By providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS/text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your order activity. You may receive up to 10 messages per month during active ordering periods.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.
  • Help: Reply HELP for support information.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
  • Carrier Disclaimer: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We will not share your phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

7. Product Information

We strive to provide accurate product descriptions and pricing. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions, images, pricing, or other content is accurate, complete, or error-free. Product weights may vary slightly from listed values.

8. Account Deactivation

You may request deactivation of your account at any time. Outstanding orders and balances must be resolved before deactivation is complete. We reserve the right to suspend or deactivate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Bread Beckers Co-Op name, logo, and platform content are the property of Bread Beckers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bread Beckers Co-Op and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes.
